My weekly adventures

Lately I’ve been trying to get out of the house and do more…I’m quite a home body but I really need to start experiencing life more.

I work 4-5 days straight during the week so usually Monday, Tuesday is my weekend but I’ve had the last few Sunday’s free, which I’ve tried to make the most of.

The Sunday just gone we headed down to my brother in laws home in Mandurah, we stayed Saturday night (my hubby went fishing that night whilst I was working) then the following morning we (hubby and I, his brother and their daughter) got up early and went up to the Estuary to do some crabbing.

They managed to catch 6 good size crabs and had them for lunch, yummy

On the way into the Estuary we stumbled across a gorgeous baby kingfisher bird, that seemed to have fallen from a tree, we left him there in the hopes his mother would come and get him, we checked for him when we left but he was nowhere to be found so hopefully mama bird had been to collect him. This photo doesn’t do his gorgeous colours justice, he was amazing blue and green colouring. So beautiful.

I’m trying to take as many photos of life’s little pleasures whilst I’m out and about so I can remember it all, my memory is shocking. There was this beautiful butterfly that was hanging around so I wanted to get a close up.

So all in all a great day, hope you enjoy my pics.
